Team Work

We have all seen those motivational posters that you can post in your office and get yourself or your employees more motivated. The only one that I can remember is one that says something about "Team Work".

Mr. Cal Thomas, conservative columnist, has come up with a new idea for our country. He thinks in light of the current situation we should start using Demotivational Posters. He threw out a few good ideas but the best one was thus:

Government. If you think the problems we create are bad, wait until you see our solutions!

You can read more of his commentary and columns at his site. www.calthomas.com.

I highly recommend it.

I wonder what solutions he is referring to.  Tough to know about some solutions without having given the solutions a chance to work, don't you think?  I think the best thing everyone can do is to start speaking positively, and to get behind the team with some positive attitudes as some of the worse problems in history are being tackled.  (If those are the solutions Cal (the expert) is referring to.)  Just my opinion :)

Kevin,

I have never been a "big government" guy, but I thought the government did serve a good purpose for the most part.

The past six months has really had me re-thinking this.

I have never before seen so much government intervention produce such mass uncertainty and confusion on so many levels.

Kevin - I always enjoy Cal.  When it comes to government, as with most anything, you have to first discover what their motive is in what they propose and do.  In my view, this government's motive is control -  that's why they hate tax cuts - they can't control how we spend our money and believe since they are so much smarter than us lowly citizens, they can spend it much more wisely. I personally find it both arrogant and condescending.

Kevin < My favorite Cal Thomas quote is " Every day i wake up and read both the Bible and the New York Times so I can see what both sides are up to".

Kevin - Cal does come up with some good ones.

Renee - let's start with the ethanol solution, resulting in more than a doubling of corn prices, a shortage of corn for food, and increase in the cost of fuel, increase in the tax burden on Americans, an overall increase in food prices, etc etc etc.
