Blah, blah, blah

The glass is half empty

OK, OK. Enough is enough. Why don't we all just give up. We just can't afford to go on. Life is becoming too hard. The glass is half empty.

I made the mistake of commenting on a blog where the writer was complaining about the price of gas. I did not give any rationale for the high price nor did I complain about it. What I did was even worse. I offered a few ideas as to how to cope with the price. I listed a few ways to offset the price. A bit of creativity. I also tried to support the person with a bit of optimism. You know, chin up and all of the that stuff. Wow! What a mistake.

I ended up being attacked. I was called a jerk and a money grubber. I even got accused of being George Bush's boyfriend. I was informed that I am greedy just like Exxon and all of the other oil companies. I was told that I should think more about others than myself. Wow.

Lesson for today: Never tell a negative person that you hope their day gets better.

Thats funny!  It made me laugh.  I think we should comment on all the negative blogs so we have more funny stories like this to blog about.

Kevin-

Sorry about your expereience.  Me, I would like to hear about ways to creatively off set the price at the pump!!  Its really painful to fill up.  Especially 2-3 times a week like most of us do.

Just try to remember that not everyone is going to be a Great Person.  IMHO most People on the whole, try to be Great at least and then you have the others that are just so bitter about everything that you could hand them a million dollars and they would be looking at your for the other dollar! Hang In There!  Not everyone will be a brat on the other side!  :)

Take Care & Good Luck in '08!

Sylvie my '08 is going great. I hope yours is as well.

I'll send you a list of the "stupid" ideas that I came up with to both save gas and offset the price.

PS- Please don't remind me that I am a jerk for being an optimist. It has already been done.

Sometimes it's just hard to turn negative people around. Keep positive!

Hi Kevin - Thankfully not everyone gave up during the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the Civil War, World War I, the Great Depression, World War II, etc.  Otherwise, these negative people would not have the priviledge of living in a country where whining about problems without offering a solution is their Constitutional right.  Our Country has overcome far greater foes than prices at the gas pump.

Kevin:

AR is a liberal community.  As such there are many in AR who promote Marxism and Socialism hence they are anti capitalism.  Why they are in real estate is beyond me.  You can't be in a more capitalistic line of work.

Kevin:

My sister once was complaining about the price of gas and I advised her to invest in oil companies and her gains in her stocks would offset the price increase at the pump.  After a year of trading oil stocks, she called me and thanked me for the advice and told me of her huge gains in the stock market.

Capitalism at work.
