Blah, blah, blah

USD versus CAD

As the US dollar gets pummeled against the Canadian, once again it may be time to do a bit of marketing to our northern neighbors. While it is not a huge bargain for them to come down here quite yet, at the rate the exchange is moving, it will not be long.

A few years ago when they had a huge advantage over us, many of us were able to market certain properties, especially in warm climates to our Canadian brethren. To them it was a great deal to come down here and find some steals. Soon it will happen again at the rate we are moving.

Many currency gurus like to say that the Us dollar moves down against the Canadian as the price of oil goes up. One of the reasons they list is the fact that we export a lot of oil from Canada.

Any input; real estate, currency, political, or otherwise?

Bring it on brother - my best customers are Canadians who are taking advantage of record low pricing and beautiful weather!

At least they are our friends, look at the difference between them and Mexico, our neighbor to the south.

They ALREADY own our Hawaiian island of MAUI * what ELSE would you like to SELL them?

With todays news about the tsunami the USD gained a bit against the Canadian. We can buy in their country as well. Just have to time it correctly and be prepared to buy and hold. Their taxes are pretty high if you sell right away.
