Doctors Who Tell Whoppers

Most of us claim to want some type of healthcare reform. Most of us can name a few problems with the existing system. Most of us have a few repairs we would like to see performed.

I just found a big flaw.

Doctors who lie.

Take a look at the news coming out of Wisconsin. Yep. The teachers are protesting. Their right. They are purposely missing work by "calling in sick". A lie. It gets better.

All over the news were accounts of actual doctors setting up shop right next to the protesters in order for the teachers, who were supposedly sick, to get a "sick note" from a real doctor. Any doctor who lies in this case should have their license pulled.

I think we may have just found something that both conservatives and liberals can agree on. If these so-called doctors are willing to lie about this, what else will they lie about? I thought they were supposed to have some ethical standards.

If our healthcare is going to get back on track, we cannot have liars in the midst of it.

This is so true if the Doctor's lie about something like this what else will they lie about.

What is worse is if their health care benefits are being used to pay these Doctors. That would be a real slap in the face to the taxpayers who pay the teachers salary to teach students that are not being taught because of the sick out.

Pat- I was astounded when I saw this on the news. Maybe I am old-fashioned but a doctor telling a lie about the condition of someones health is ridiculous.

Ethics?

Kathy- Excellent points. The whole thing is really exposing a lot of problems in our society.

Kevin, I agree! Your comments are right on target! Those doctors should lose their licenses, and the teachers who participated in that scheme should be fired.

Rose- The more I consider this information the madder I get.

Kevin, I guess those doctors are thinking they are doing no harm?

The more I see those teachers demonstrating, the less and less I respect them.

The teachers who use fake doctor's excuses need to have their employment terminated immediately and cut off from all benefits.  Teachers should be held to a higher standard.  They are teaching our children.

Bill- Exactly. They are telling lies and should be terminated.
