The people who hate America

If I am dating someone and they drive me crazy, why do I stay with them? Probably more than a few of us know someone who constantly talks trash about their spouse or significant other, yet does nothing about it.

The same goes for people and jobs. Everyone knows someone who just cannot stand their job and makes sure that everyone knows how much they hate it. But, just like the person in the above situation, they continually do nothing about it.

Why is it that some folks wake up in the morning, see things that are not to their liking, and make an attempt to change those things, while other folks just wake up, get mad and start complaining? Is one person more positive or optimistic and the other more negative and pessimistic? Or is it that some people are just better at taking care of problems than others?

Here in our country, we are constantly bombarded by both written and spoken words, by people who do not like America and what it stands for. These folks burn lots of energy being pissed off at our country, and they damn sure want to make sure that we all are as well. They claim loyalty and patriotism towards the good old USA, but in reality, they simply cannot stand this place, and it shows.

They hate the Constitution, think the Founding Fathers were idiots, despise middle class values, and go berserk at the mention of rugged individualism. They spout off about freedom of religion but get angry when someone actually prays in public. They espouse Marxism, tell us that we should be more so, but offer none of their own funds to start the venture.

The list goes on and on of what these folks hate about America. Their anger shows through in every stinking thing that they do, and every word that they speak. Vitriol for America is too light of a phrase to describe their antipathy.

Why do they stay here? On and on they blab about how wonderful England and France and Cuba are. They do everything so wonderfully in those countries. We should be more like them. If only we could just try a few of the ways of those places. Whenever we do try, it does not work here, just like it never works in the other countries, but these folks continue to tell us we need to switch.

They hate it here. They hate the basic American way of life. They bitch about how a typical NASCAR fan is an idiot and way beneath them. They bitch about how a succesful business owner drives a BMW while another person barely makes ends mete. Bitch bitch bitch.

Why don't they just leave.

Hi Kevin~  Your point is well taken.  If they hate it here, then they should just leave.  Pure and simple!  No one is holding them hostage here!

The nice thing about America is our ablility to have free speech. Others are free to complain, and to demonstrate peacefully. While I don't agree with the positions of most of them. They have that right.

You also have the right to tell them to Love It or Leave It. But they have the right to stay - if they are here legally.

Kevin, I think that some people just like to complain.  If they compared our situation to that of any other country, I'm sure that they would agree that we live in the best country in the world...but they would still complain!

Ditto Wade * some people ENJOY complaining because then they don't have to actually THINK about what is making them unhappy!!!

I used to complain about Minnesota being a welfare state. So guess what, I escaped!

Kevin,

What is sad is that so many of those people who hate our country are getting rich from the same country. And now they have a president who hates our country to lead them.

My wife and I also left California. I wonder why anyone would stay there.

How many of us have listened to these complaints and never said "if you have such contempt for this country you have my blessings to leave - tell me where you live, I'll help you pack".  We have friends, who left Canada to become American citizens; they recently had dinner with their neighbors, who live here 2 to 3 months a year, who are from Germany.  The neighbors are always bashing this country.  Our Canadian friends told them they had had enough of their US bashing and should stay out of a country they dislike so much.  They also told these neighbors they were not the kind of people they liked being around and had no intentions of associating with them again.  I WAS IMPRESSED, I love these guys!  Maybe more of us should follow their example.
