The NATIONAL ENQUIRER IS eligible for the Pulitzer...for EXPOSING John Edwards

The Pulitzer Prize Committee has acknowledged that after first ignorning the tab's stories regarding John Edwards and his mistress, that the paper will be considered for an investigative reporting and national new reporting awards....and that it might even deserve to win one.

The Committee gave the official nod to the paper's coverage of Edward's double life in stories that were first ignored, then dismissed and finally acknowledged by the mainstream media.

The story should even be entered in a third category of  "public service" as well since the Enquirer's reporters dug where other journalist failed to probe and but by their efforts  we might never have learned of the disgraceful character of the presidential candidate.

The prize will be announced in April.

What a great character role model.

Wouldn't that be too funny!  The mainstream media getting beat out for a prestigious award by a paper they loathe!  I hope they win!
