Nebraska is in over their heads this coming weekend. No doubt about it. Things are going to be ugly for their fans as the depression sets in on Sunday. Lots of drinking will commence followed by lots of drinking. That will be followed by lots of counseling sessions.
Take a look at the stats. Nebraska's Zac Lee has a completion percentage of 60.8 while Texas' Colt McCoy has a whopping 71.8. Zac has thrown for 13 TD's and Colt has 27 under his belt to date this season. Yikes.
Total rushing for the Big Red as they are called, sits at 1769 yards, averaging 4.1 yards per carry and a total of 18 TD's for the season. OK, but wait. The Longhorns have 1967 total yards rushing while averaging 4.4 yards per carry, and a big 27 TD's.
Moving on to recieving is much the same. The Huskers have a total of 2248 total yards by catching the ball, averaging 11.8 yards a carry, and a total of 15 TD's. OK. The boys from Texas have racked up 3452 yards, with an average of 10.6 YPC and a total of 27 TD's.
Nebraska's vaunted D-team might have a better chance of stopping an airplane.
