Blah, blah, blah

2 ingredients

People who succeed in any type of endeavor have a recipe for achieving more than the ordinary. No matter what field a person has excelled in, they most likely got there with a diet of hard work, hard work, and hard work. Obviously there could be a few other mitigating factors thrown in, but hard work is almost always a common denominator.

Hard work coupled with desire is a recipe that will take anyone, anywhere they want to go in life. We see it everyday in this country. A poor imigrant comes here, works very hard, and makes something of their life. This usually means they become rich in this case. Or some kid from a poor household wants to hit it big in either music or sports. Take the two ingredients above, very hard work and desire, and the kid has some level of success. It can be done.

In this country right now there are those who would like to take away from those who put hard work and desire together. For some reason these folks see the end result as being unfair. To those of us who work very hard, and have been up and down throughout different atages of our lives, this makes no sense. Giving someone something they did not work for takes away desire. Taking away from those who achieve also takes away desire, but also takes away any reason to work hard.

Life will never be fair, no matter what kind of laws are passed. While we all have the ability to make something of ourselves, not all of us are willing to do the one thing that true success requires, very hard work. for that reson, and that reason alone. some will never succeed, no matter what we give them.

I have a theory and it goes like this: If we take away everything from everyone, within 5 to 10 years, our society would look the same again. The successful would be just that again, and the unsuccessful would be back in their usual position. In my opinion, the secret to it is very hard work.

Kevin,

Nice, very nice.  Work hard plus desire = success is a truth everyone, in the World, knows even if they have never articulated or recognized these two ingredients.

Very true, Kevin.  I like this blog--it's inspiring and puts things in perspective.  Somehow the work ethic in this country changed not for the better.  Success is expected by the mediocre without putting their efforts and labor into it.  I hope this gets featured.

If the government keeps playing this class warfare game eventually us producers who actually work for a living and are trying to achieve something will give up or leave.  You think this would be common sense.

Life will never be fair and as soon as you realize that, you are on your way to achieving your goals.

You are absolutely correct!

Good Job Kevin.  Not everyone in this country was raised with a work ethic.  We are seeing who the government panders to.  All the malcontents who believe the Constitution is an IOU.

I have always believed in this, how lucky are we that most of the country doesn't try hard?  VERY!
